Biswajit condoles the demise of Dr. S. Ibocha

IPR Minister Th. Biswajit Works condoles the sudden and untimely demise of  State Information Commissioner, Dr Soibam Ibocha Singh (Retd IPS) of Soibam Leikai, Imphal East.
In his condolence message, Biswajit expressed that Dr. Ibocha joined the Manipur Police Service in 1983 and retired as Inspector General of Police in 2018. A recipient of the President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service, Dr Ibocha had served as the Superintendent of Police of Imphal West, Thoubal, Bishnupur, Churachandpur and Senapati districts. Dr. Ibocha who was a lecturer at Maharaj Bodhchandra College from 1979 to 1983, before joining the MPS, is also the winner of Sahitya Akademi translation prize, and the recipient of State Literature Award, State Kala Akademi Award, Sharda Translation Award and Akoijam Chaoton and RK Muktasana Literature Award.
