Vijay Diwas was observed today at the Conference Hall of the Mini Secretariat Complex, Bishnupur, to commemorate the bravery and sacrifice of Indian soldiers whose courage ensured the nation’s historic victory in the 1971 war.
Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Commissioner to DC, Bishnupur, Sh. Gunamani, highlighted the crucial role of the Indian Armed Forces in safeguarding the nation’s integrity and sovereignty. He emphasized that national development is deeply linked to a strong sense of nationalism and urged citizens to understand their country’s history, take pride in it, and actively contribute to preserving national unity.
Sh. Gunamani called upon all citizens to share the responsibility of protecting and upholding the nation’s values for its continued prosperity.
Officials of the District Administration attended the programme. A two-minute silence was observed in honour of the brave soldiers who laid down their lives during the 1971 war.
