The Centenary Birth celebration of Rajkumar Chandrajitsana Singh, popularly known as RKCS was held today at JN Manipur Dance Academy, Imphal organised by the RKCS Birth Centenary Celebration Committee. A booklet titled “Chahi Chamma gi Khongchat” was also released.
The celebration was attended by Prof. Paonam Gunindro Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Manipur University of Culture, Dr. Keisham Sobita Devi, Chairperson, RKCS Birth Centenary Celebration Committee, and Longjam Joychandra Singh, Vice-Chairman, Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy as Chief Guest, President and Guest of Honour respectively.
As a part of the celebration four visual artists of Manipur, Thoidingjam Tombi Singh, Lalit Kala Akademi Awardee, Laishram Modhuchandra Singh, Retired Principal, Imphal Art College, Aribam Ekanta Sharma, Retired Principal, Imphal Art College and Laishram Phonindro Singh, Eminent artist and sculptor were felicitated for their contributions.
Also, prizes for the 13th RKCS Children Painting Competition 2024 were distributed as a part of the event.
