Imphal, July 6:
Ramlal Paul Higher Secondary School has organized a ceremony to honor its alumni who excelled in the Class X and XII examinations conducted by BOSEM and COHSEM.
The event was attended by Justice A. Guneshwar Sharma of the Manipur High Court, Principal Haobam Padmini, and Vice President Sunita Laisom, aimed to recognize the achievements of students and alumni.
Bimol Akoijam, Member of Parliament and a 1982 alumnus of the school, was the chief guest. He shared his memories, highlighting the school’s transformation over the years. “I studied here from Class 3 to 10. The school was not like this; we saw walls torn and the school’s condition was poor. Schools like Don Bosco, Little Flowers, and Ramlal Paul were known for their English proficiency. Ram Lal Paul was exceptional in teaching English.”
Bimol Akoijam also highlighted the unique discipline of the school, which was guided by Vaishnavite and cultural ethics. He urged the current students to uphold the school’s traditions and strive for excellence.
Justice A. Guneshwar Sharma, who was the chief guest, along with Principal Haobam Padmini and Vice President Sunita Laisom, felicitated the students who had cleared their Class X and XII exams with distinction. The ceremony was organized by the alumni association and the school’s administration.
