At Keirao AC, people started getting 4 Kg of NFSA rice at free of cost from today

IT News
Imphal, June 6:

When there are hue and cry over not getting the share of rice with onion, potatoes, salt etc. allotted to the general people during the Covid-19 Pandemic, at Keirao Assembly Constituency people have started getting 4 Kg of rice each by every eligible person in addition to the earlier free NFSA rice distributed for the month of June.

Talking to Imphal Times a person from Keirao AC said that we are not sure whether we have to get 4 Kg rice each as the Prime Minister had announced 5 kg rice each. However, as our Chief Minister had announced that each family member (eligible) is entitled 4 kg rice free of cost during this pandemic, we are happy to get the rice share.
He said that the MLA of the constituency, Lourembam Rameshwor Meetei took extreme seriousness to make sure that all the people irrespective of his supporters or not get the rice share and had directed the district administration as well as those agents to be fair in the distribution of rice during this hard time.
