Imphal, Jan. 16: 6 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) conducted a security meet at Canchipur Company Operating Base, Imphal West District on 15 Jan 2018. The forum was attended by 22 representatives including Pradhans, Meira Paibis, Ward members and members from various youth clubs of the area. The aim of the meet was to discuss on issues of safety & security in the area especially with respect to the upcoming Republic Day. The Company Commander also briefed regarding the IED threats and maintenance of peace and harmony. The response of the Pradhans, Meira Paibis, Ward members and members of the youth clubs was positive and forthcoming and has assured to extend their support for the purpose stated a press release signed by the PRO, HQ IGAR (South)
