Assam Rifles conducts Medical Camp

45 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR(South) conducted a Medical Camp at Lamding village in Imphal East District of Manipur state under ‘Operation Sadbhavana’ programme on 22 March 2016. The conduct of a medical camp was frequently demanded by the locals during regular interactions with the troops of Chingmeirong post of 45 Assam Rifles. A medical team led by Medical Officer of 45 Assam Rifles carried out diagnosis and treatment of the patients.A total of 230 villagers attended the camp for check-up and treatment. The villagers praised the efforts of Assam Rifles for conducting the free Medical Camp which provided much needed succor to the needy people of this remote village. The aim of the medical camp was to provide relief to the tribal people residing in the remote fringes of Imphal town was achieved through this noble gesture.
