Wildlife and Biodiversity Conservation Committee(WBCC) Manipur started plantingĀ tree as a part if the Green Manipur Mission. The Committee aims to plants at least 2000 tree saplings at various places.
A press statement by WBCC Manipur said that every year in the month of July tree planting festival or āVan Mahotsavaā is celebrate across the country. With the coming of the Ā āVan Mahotsavaā, WBCC in collaboration withĀ Club/Organisation and Schools of Manipur, will plantĀ saplings to make the villages area green.
WBCC appealed people to joined theĀ tree plantation festival by planting sapling at various office, school, college and other area.
