Imphal, June 15:

The Art of Living Manipur today organised a one-day Covid-19 vaccination drive at 1st MR Ground in Imphal. Nearly 300 people, mainly daily wage-earners, got their first dose of Covd vaccine at the drive.
Member of Parliament Shri Dr R K Ranjan, who visited the venue of the vaccination drive, lauded the efforts of the Art of Living to make vaccination available for the disadvantaged sections of our society. He also emphasised the need for such drives to ensure that the whole population of the country is vaccinated by December as desired by Prime Minsiter Narendra Modi.
Sharing the vision behind organising the vaccination drive, Shri Binod Kumar Sethi, Apex Body member of the Art of Living, said the drive was a part of various Covid relief activities the Art of Living has been doing across the country. “Inspired by our founder Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the Art of Living and its sister arm International Association for Human Values (IAHV) swung into action to provide medical, material and emotional support to people in distress as the second wave of the pandemic peaked in India and health infrastructure comes under severe strain,” he said.
He also revealed the Art of Living Manipur has been conducting a series of Covid Care Protocol programmes for different categories of people in Manipur to help boost their immunity, improve their mental resilience and bring a semblance of peace and quiet. “As part of the initiative, 2000 children and young adults are getting equipped with immunity enhancement techniques in association with the Social Welfare department of the state,” he added. He also said the such programmes will be conducted for other frontline workers also. The Art of Living will also be providing Ayurveda-based Immunity Enhancement Supplements to such frontline workers.
The Art of Living has also started an Anxiety Helpline in Meiteilon to help the people of Manipur in coping with the anxiety and distress arising out of the current humanitarian crisis. Anyone who is experiencing anxiety can call on 7005658504 to get advice and guidance on mental well-being from Art of Living counsellors in Meiteilon.
