Troops of Maram Battalion under the aegis of Senapati Brigadeunder, Red Shield Division,cleared a major landslide in NH-129A near village New Magaimai. Reports were received in the early hours on 21 May 2016 regarding blockade of NH-129A due to a landslide which occurred due to heavy rains. The road was broken, filled with lots of mud and heavy boulders, thereby effectively blocking traffic, resulting in lots of hardships for the locals and commuters.The soldiers without wasting time, moved to the land slide area and with the assistance of the villagers cleared the road which facilitated the move of civil transients.
