AR conducts skill development seminar

Imphal, Jan. 11: A seminar on ‘Skill Development’ was conducted by 39 Assam Rifles of 28 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) on 09 Jan 2018 at Chakpikarong community hall, Chakpikarong, Chandel District and Sugnu, Kakching District. A team of 06 members under Pradhanmantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna addressed the youth of both the subdivisions. The seminar started with opening address by Commandant, 39 Assam Rifles and then gathering was addressed by the 06 member team which focused on skill development scheme of Government of India for recognition and standardization of skills. A total of 60 young boys and girls attended the seminar in Chakpikarong and Sugnu respectively. The main aim behind the event was to provide awareness to the local youth about various employment schemes of government. The seminar was well received by the local youth who showed enthusiasm to know about various programmes under Pradhanmantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna. The gesture by 39 Assam Rifles was appreciated by the local of Chakpikarong and Sugnu divisions.
