The Directorate of Environment and Climate Change has invited applications from journalists of Manipur for the 7th State Level Media Fellowship Programme on Climate Change reporting for the period 2026–27.
According to an official notification, interested applicants are required to submit their applications along with a latest CV, two passport-size photographs, and a letter of endorsement from the Editor stating that the fellowship output will be published or telecast in the concerned media organisation. Applications must be submitted physically to the Directorate during office hours on or before April 17, 2026.
The notification stated that fellows who have previously received the award twice may apply again only after a gap of at least one year.
The theme of this year’s fellowship will focus on climate change impacts and actions in Manipur. A total of 10 fellowships will be awarded across four categories, namely open category for print media reporters, open category for electronic media reporters, women journalist category for print media reporters, and hill journalist category for print media reporters.
Applicants must have a minimum of one year’s experience in journalism and media reporting. Each selected fellow will receive a grant of Rs. 50,000 along with a citation. The programme will also provide opportunities such as interstate exposure visits and capacity-building initiatives during the fellowship period.
