Unknown miscreants today placed a Chinese made hand grenade at the residence of Takhellambam Dushanta (34) son of late Lalhari at Lallambung Makhong Ningthoujam Leikai. The Bomb was notice by the family member at around 7.15 am today morning. It was wrapped in a bluish polythene bag.Takhellambam Dushanta is the coach of Canoeing and Kayaking besides being the Joint Secretary of Manipur Olympic Association.A police team retrieved the hand grenade at around 8.30 am.Later at afternoon locals of Lallambung today staged a sit-in-protest against the bomb threat at Lallambung Makhong. Placards urging the concern authority to clarify on the motive behind the placing of the hand grenade were displayed during the protest.
