The All Manipur United Clubs’ Organisation (AMUCO) has expressed deep condolences following the killing of Mr. Nehkam Jamhao, 59, Chairman of the Thadou Literature Society, Assam. According to AMUCO, Mr. Jamhao was murdered by militants belonging to the KRA group on August 30, 2025.
In a statement issued today, AMUCO strongly condemned the killing, describing it as a highly inhuman act that threatens the peace and stability of the region. The organization emphasized that targeting innocent individuals undermines social harmony and called for an immediate end to terrorist activities in Manipur.
AMUCO urged the authorities to take decisive action against those responsible and appealed for preventive measures to avoid such attacks in the future. The organization also stressed the importance of collective security and cooperation among all communities in the state to maintain peace and stability.
