AMHDEEA appeals to review the order on service books for all employees of departments’ level or ZEO’s level

Educational institute and its related offices and department in Hill District to shut down

Imphal, Feb 14: All Manipur Hill District Education Employee Association (AMHDEEA) today appeals to review the order vide no. AO/267/Service Book/2017(8)-DE(S) of December 29, 2017by Director of Education (S) and arrange digitization of Service Books for all employees of Department level or ZEO’s level as the new order will create chaos and problems to employees of remote areas of Manipur State.
Speaking to the media persons at Manipur Press Club, Majorkhul, Imphal, Kaikhanlian Guite, President of AMHDEEA said that the service book for all serving personnel is under the custody of the respective ZEO’s till date, whereas, with the new order all service books are sought to kept at the Directorate in Imphal which will create problems for personnel belonging or posted at remote areas as they will have to undergo to and fro to Imphal with huge financial expenses only to put their signature in the service book.
With the new order, theirwill be many issues regarding errors in records of employees name in the office of Education department and this errors will raise ugly head much to the discontentment of employees belonging to the hill district as dealing assistants at Education department fails to record names or particular with accuracy which will surely result in running the corrigendum unnecessarily.
In-order to avoid such errors, the new order needs to pay more attention, he added.
AMHDEEA appeals the Director of Education (S) to review the new order to avoid such errors in the future for those serving and posted employees at remote areas and to make arrangement for the service books be remain under the custody of the respective ZEO’s.
Failure to fulfill their appeals will let to shutting down of all educational institute and its related offices and department in hill district on February 21 and 22, 2018.
Mention may be that the association has already submitted memorandum to Chief Minister of Manipur, Education Minister and the concern to look into the matter but no positive response has been made till date.
