All Loktak Lake Area Fishermen’s Union Manipur (ALLAFUM) expressed strong opposition to the announcement by Loktak Development Authority (LDA) for prohibition of fishing and related activities from Dec 26.
It said no notification was served regarding the matter. ALLAFUM said that the ban on fishing during peak hours will affect the lives of the fisherman.
