All Political Party on ILP takes MU professors’ comment

Two professors of the Manipur University today expressed their views regarding the introduction of a legislation equivalent to Inner Line Permit System in the state. Source said that Professor Nabakumar of the Dept. Of Anthropology and Professor Joykumar of the Political Science  expressed their views about the need for introduction of the ILP in the state. Representatives of various political party of the state including BJP, NCP, Trinamool Congress, CPI etc were present in the meeting.Mentioned may be made that meeting between the Government and volunteers of JCIPS failed twice .Today’s meeting was chaired by Deputy Chief Minister, Gaikhangam. Detail report of the meeting is still awaited.It may be mentioned that today’s meeting was the sixth meeting of all political party operating in the state.Earlier, the state government shut down all the educational institutes of the state following the arrest of some volunteers of the Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System.JCILPS also imposed curfew against the non-locals in the state.
