All Kwakta Coordinating Committee condemns non-joining of newly transferred doctor

The All Kwakta Coordinating Committee has urged the government to take stern action against Dr. Ibotomba Khuraijam, who was transferred to PHC, Kwakta on September 15th as per the transfer order of Joint Secretary Health and Family Welfare Government of Manipur for not joining duty.
It should be noted that the Chief Medical Officer of Bishnupur wrote a letter to the Director of Health Services, Government of Manipur, on October 4, 2023, reporting that Dr. Ibotomba Khuraijam had not reported for duty.
The secretary of AKCOC further stated that due to a lack of available rooms, the eye doctor and dental surgeon are unable to treat patients. Furthermore, since there is no infrastructure to give water to the hospital, there is a water problem at the hospital, which produces a slew of issues for the PHC, Kwakta’s doctors and employees. The absence of a kitchen and adequate lavatory facilities poses serious issues for the staff.
