All is set to launch “Air-mail Service Scheme’ for NE states by next month

With aims to minimize the hardship face by inter-state traders of the North East states of India while transporting goods, all is set to launch the “Air-mail Service Scheme” by the beginning of next month under the supervision of the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation and Ministry of Information Technology Govt. of India.
The North East Circle Office will be inaugurated at Guwahati in the first week of next month, said an official communiqué from the office of the Air-mail service scheme.
The scheme was already set for opening on June last year however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the over 9 month long lockdown to contain the virus, constructions being taken up at various Airports of the NE region for the scheme has been put on hold. After the inauguration of the Circle Office at Guwahati, decision to complete the pending constructions for infrastructures will be discussed.
The North East Circle office which will implement the “Air-mail Service Scheme” will have separate staffs to make sure that the purpose is properly and effectively implemented.
