Agriculture minister inspects veterinary Hospital at Moreh

Moreh, Dec. 7:  At the first instant of his visit, Agriculture, Veterinary and Animal husbandry Minister V. Hangkhanlian has felt displeasure regarding irregularities in the attendance of officers and staff of the Sub- Divisional Veterinary Hospital, Moreh.
He has given stern warning to the absentee-officers and staff not to repeat such negligence of duty of office.  Necessary disciplinary àçtion shall be contemplated if repeated in future, he said.
It was stated by the Minister during his jointly inspection of the Sub- Divisional Veterinary Hospital, Moreh with Veterinary Director Dr. H. Chaoba Singh and Veterinary Joint Director ,Dr. Ch. Nandakishore  yesterday.
 The objective of the visit is site selection for the construction of Sub-Divisional Veterinary Hospital, Moreh, a scheme under centrally sponsor schemes -establishment and strengthening of veterinary Hospital and Dispensary under the financial pattern of 90 and 10 of Central and State respectively.
The Minister expressed his keen interest for the   development of veterinary services in the boundary areas in terms of maintenance of Public health and control of Zoonotic diseases. He also expressed his desire for construction of isolation and retaining of animal imports from the neighbouring countries.
 He further advised the Veterinary Director and his officers of the Department for availing alternative sources of fund from the Government of India under livestock health and diseases control.
