Advocate Khaidem Mani says – ILPS related Bills not anti-tribal

Imphal, May 8: Senior Advocate Khaidem Mani once more reiterated that the 3 ILPS related Bills passed by the state assembly does not content any article which is anti-tribal saying that the Indian constitution does not permit any legislation which is against any group of people or specific community.
Speaking to media persons at his residence at Loklaobung Mani said that it is very unfortunate that with the influence of few people with not so clean political intention to object the implementation of Inner Line Permit System in the state has falsely charged and spread the bills as anti-tribal.
Clearing the misunderstanding among the opposes he said many intellectuals, learned lawyers from Tribal community in Manipur have already studied the contents of the three Bills and had already stated that there is no such clause in the said Bills except certain minute matters which are subject to change during amendment when once the bills were passed and act as law.
He strongly appealed to those against the bills to come forward and point out the defects. He also suggest to have a public debate in a platform so that to clarify the misunderstanding and bring a positive solution.
