Adi Karmayogi Abhiyaan launched in Tamenglong district

The Adi Karmayogi Abhiyaan (AKA) was formally launched in Tamenglong district today at Duigailong Community Hall, in a programme organised by the District Administration. The initiative, aimed at strengthening village-level governance and decision-making, was attended by district officials, village authorities, and members of the public.
Deputy Commissioner Tamenglong, Dr. L Angshim Dangshawa, highlighted the importance of empowering village leaders — including chairmen, secretaries, women, youth, and church leaders — to spearhead local development planning. He urged collaboration with Adi Saathi self-help group (SHG) members to identify priorities and design initiatives tailored to the specific needs of each village. Dr. Dangshawa formally launched the scheme by cutting the ribbon to mark the beginning of the initiative.
The event was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Chunglemang Kipgen, SDO Tamenglong D Meidinbui, SDO Tousem Paul Nangsha, ZEO Tamenglong N Abonpou Christopher, Additional CEO Guilinbou Daimai, AE PHED Premson T Panmei, Inspector ICDS Project Buanthanlung Gangmei, as well as DLOs, village authority members, and the general public. District Prabhari Officer for Tamenglong and Noney, Anil Juyal, representing the Government of India, was also present.
As part of the launch, District Master Trainers, along with ADM Chunglemang Kipgen, Anil Juyal, and village leaders, conducted a resource mapping exercise to assess local assets and capacities.
