ACOAM-LUP, Kangleipak has appreciated the achievement of Soibam Manitomba Singh in the field of cultivating banana plants. Soibam Manitomba Singh is presently working as a senior reporter ‘Kangla Pao’ daily evening news-paper. He was recently awarded as the best banana farmer by Jain Irrigation System Ltd and Bhavarlal and Kantabai Jain Multipurpose foundation in recognition to his valuable contribution for promotion of banana cultivation with modern techniques.
The award he received included a citation, memento and a cheque of Rs. 51,000. Maharashtra Agriculture Minister Eknath Khadse handed over the award last week.
ACOAM – LUP, Kangleipak said Manitomba sets an example to the people of the state by culturing all his energy for promotion of agricultural product besides his hectic schedule of covering news event for his news paper.
