Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Manipur, spearheaded a voter awareness initiative titled “National First Voting Much” at Central Agriculture University (CAU), Iroisemba, and other educational institutions like National Information Technology Manipur and National Sports University, Manipur.
During the campaign, Kamal Nayan, the Organizing Secretary of ABVP North East Zone, underscored the pivotal role of Manipur’s youth in shaping India’s developmental trajectory. He stressed the importance of active participation in the democratic process, asserting that Manipur’s youth will play a crucial role in steering the nation towards progress and prosperity through their votes.
“I firmly believe that the youth of Manipur possess the power to drive positive change and development in our nation. By exercising their right to vote, they can contribute significantly to the advancement of Bharat,” stated Kamal Nayan.
The voter awareness campaign aimed to equip the youth with knowledge about their electoral rights and responsibilities, urging them to make informed decisions during the upcoming elections. Through interactive sessions and informative workshops, the event sought to instill a sense of civic duty and active citizenship among Manipur’s burgeoning youth population.
As Manipur prepares for the electoral process, initiatives like these are pivotal in fostering a culture of democratic participation and nation-building. The ABVP remains steadfast in its commitment to empowering the youth and channeling their energy towards the collective welfare and progress of Bharat.
ABVP volunteers, including Gautam, Rk Yaikhomba Tonsana, Rajesh, Rikomba, Chingkhei, Victoria, Priyaluxmi, Jelson, Rajiangong Golmei, and Nongjumba, conducted a poster campaign and visited various parts of the market area and different colonies. Their goal was to raise awareness and engage with residents on crucial issues affecting their community. Navigating through bustling streets, the team ensured that their message reached as many people as possible.
