8 students fainted mysteriously in a class room at Savio English Higher Secondary School, Thangmeiband

Locals, school authority says the place is haunted by supernatural power

Eight students studying at a same class room in 9th standard reportedly fainted in a mysterious way inside the class room when the second period class was underway yesterday morning. Locals and the authority of the school believed the mysterious incident as an act of God as the place where the school is located is believed to be a secret place of a local deity.
The School is located at Thangmeiband Sinam Leikai, and was established in the year 1981. The kind of incident at which 8 students including 6 girls and 2 boys of the same class fainted at the same timing is the first of its kind that the school witness since its establishment.
Reporters who went to take stock of the situation today morning were informed that all the students were sent back home after providing them minor treatment but one among them – a girl student has been presently undergoing treatment at a private hospital. Her mother informed the school authority that her daughter did not have any illness and such incident is the first thing that she had ever witness since her birth.
Medical report of the students could not be acquired at the moment as both the school authority and the Local people failed to collect it as they had a strong believed that the unusual incident is an act of God.
A school teacher, while talking to media persons said that the place is a secret place of local deity. He however suggested that those students might have fainted due to ill health but expressed surprised that all the 8 student fainted at a same time.
Now after the incident a local leader had advice the school authority to construct a temple of the local deity so that such incident might not repeat in future.
