The 62nd national conference of the Anatomical Society of India was inaugurated today at the Jubilee hall of Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal. The tastefully decorated hall and surrounding areas had a festive atmosphere.Prof Nandakumar Sharma vice chancellor of Manipur University inaugurated the conference at 9:30 am today. Apart from the delegates there were many prominent personalities in the medical profession.Prof N. Damayanti, head of the Anatomy department of RIMS said that about 500 delegates from India and some foreign countries are participating in the conference. She further said that the theme of conference this year is “Ethics on medical profession and practice”. In the inaugural function several speakers expressed the view that it was good that the conference was held in this medical college.The conference will be formally concluded on Thursday.
