Imphal, Aug 23 :
A total of 114 (one hundred and fourteen) person were tested COVID 19 positive during the last 24 hour. Among these 60 persons who have tested positive with the virus are locals who have no travel history and 47 are personnel from the Central Armed Police Force, a press release from the COVID 19 Common Control Room said.
7 persons tested COVID-19 positive are from among the general population who returned from outside the state. There are however no report of any fatalities due to COVID-19 today. The number of death so far is 22. According to the statement of the COVID-19 Control Room , 161 persons have recovered in the last 24 hour and discharged from various COVID-19 care centers.
With the new cases, the total number of COVID-19 positive case have reached 5246. Among these 1381 are from among the Central Security Personnel. Number of active Positive case is 1608 after 3616 have recovered. Recovery rate so far is 68.92%.
