Eight days long 4th Northeast Theatre Festival will be organised from 19th Feb at the Hongnemshang NT Theatre’s playhouse at Changangei Uchekon Lai Maning near Airport, Imphal.
Ningthouja Deepak, Director, Festival Committee said today in a press conference that the eight days long festival is based in cultural theme in which eight groups from three different states, Manipur, Tripura and Assam will participate. On 22nd Feb, the renowned writer, Anup Hazarika’s play ‘Shasti’ will be showcased in the festival by a group from Assam called Baa Guwahati Assam. NT Theatre Manipur will showcase its premiere play ‘Gold medal’ which is written by Mani Yumnam and directed by Deepak himself on the inaugural day of the festival.
