03rd Rashtryia Dalit Sahitya Samman Sammelan 2014 organised a felicitation cum discussions program today at Manipur Press Culb, Imphal.The function was organised to facilitate Kh. Sunita Devi, National Best Teacher Awardee, 2014, Ng. Praneshori, State Best Teacher Awardee, 2014, L. Nirmala, State Best Teacher Awardee, 2014 and K. Jayenta, State Best Teacher Awardee.Speaking on the occasion as Chief Guest, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, Manipur, Dr. T. Meinya said that people of the state who excel in every fields should be felicitated. He further said due to lack of work culture the state is poor in economy. There is lack of work culture in the state comparing to older days. People from outside the state are taking advantage of the lack of work culture and started coming in the state which is causing various crimes. He added that the people of Manipur should maintain the habit of working and keep a work cultured society, only then the state will become prosperous and bring a youthful society.As a part of the function people attending the function paid to the photo of Dr. BR Ambedkar and a souvenir called ‘Patyagi Thambal’ was also released.
