3rd death anniversary of Pravish Chanam was observed today at Uripok Achom Leikai by following the SOP of COVID-19 pandemic.
A press statement by Laishram Gulshan, member of the Pravish Chanam Peoples Action Committee said that Pravish Chanam was brutally murdered at Greater Noida on this day 3 years back and justice still is pending.
The statement further said that the Observation ceremony was attended by the Various CSOs of the states such as WASEDEV, KIL, AMUCO, YFPHR, YACPIP and paid floral tribute to the Late Pravish Chanam’s Photograph.
The Convenor of the Peoples Action Committee, Mr. Laimayum Bichu said that this is the third death anniversary of Pravish and PAC, Family members along with the peoples of Manipur are still waiting to meet the end of Justice. Due to the Covid 19 crisis the CBI also could not proceed ahead with the investigation, however, we have been informed by the CBI that the investigation is in full swing and the new developments are also there which are confidential and cannot be put before the public domain, he added. He further appreciates the contribution of the Clubs, CSOs, Meira Paibis and individuals for supporting the movement and informed that PAC will update the status of the case from time to time to the people of Manipur. During the observation pandemic Covid 19 SOPs were strictly followed and maintained by the PAC and the participants it said the released.
