Imphal, Aug 4: Police had picked up 3 suspects to the murdered case of Lourembam Ongbi Ranjita Devi of Yairipok Khoirom Mathak Leikai who was found mercilessly murdered in a paddy field. Among the two arrested suspect 2 were Meitei and the other is a tribal, however, the identity could not established at the moment.Meanwhile, JAC formed against the killing of the lady, women folk of Yairipok Angtha blocked the Ngariyan road at Yairipok Thambannu Market area. The women folk later proceeded towards Yairipok police station after they received the news of the arrest of the suspects. However, police team stopped them at Yairipok Bamol Leikai area.Later, the large number of people came back at Yairipok Bazar and staged a sit-in-protest. All shops and business establishment were shuts during the protest.
