A least 3 (three) person who was allegedly involved in the destruction of three bullet tanker trucks coming towards Imphal and snatched cell phone and money from the drivers at Kengjang area in Kangpokpi district along the NH 2 have been arrested by a state police team from the Sapermeina Police station.
It may be mentioned that 3 bullet tanker trucks which were heading towards Imphal were halted in the adjoining night of March 17 and March 18 and started vandalizing the trucks. The front glass and of the trucks were destroyed and cell phone and money were snatch from the drivers of the trucks before they make it through towards their way.
The matter has been seriously taken by the state police and police have been investigating the matter after taking up a sue motto case. The identity of the three arrested persons cannot be revealed at the moment investigation is still on. Police are hoping for more arrests in connection with the crime.
