At least three personnel of the 13 Assam Rifles personnel were injured in an ambush by cadres of NSCN-K militants at around 1.20 pm between Maryland and Nungba under Nungba Police Station. Report said that well equipped cadres of the NSCN-K fire several rounds of gun shots using sophisticated weapon to a troop of 13 AR who were on ROP duty.Meanwhile heavy gun battle was reported today between cadres of NSCN-IM and ZUF at Kambiron area in Tamenglong district under Nungba Police station at around 12 noon today.
