Manipur witness around 210 accidents during this year’s Yaosang festival among which 2 people sccumbed to their injury.
According to sources from various police stations, private and government hospitals, around 125 cases of accident injuries were given treatment at RIMS, while a total number of 43 cases were admitted at the JNIMS for treatment.
When contacted private hospitals, it has been reported that around 31 cases of accident related patients were admitted at Raj Medicity, North AOC and 12 at Advance Hospital of Konung Mamang. Besides, a total number of 52 patients who suffered major head injuries were reportedly undergone CT Scan at Imphal hospital.
On Monday afternoon at around 4, a person was killed and two were injured in an accident at Iroisemba Luwangli Thong under Lamphel Police station. The victims have been identified as Thiyam Inaocha Meetei of Sagolband Tera Khuraijam Leirak. While injured persons were identified as Oinam Deepak of Mayanglangjing and Sinam Bhaktakumar of Kwasiphai.
In another road accident, another person identified as Md Rasid Khan of Lilong Turel Ahanbi succumbed to his injury after he met accident at Lilong Boroi Makhong on Monday afternoon.
