2 bodies recovered near Sugnu

Imphal, May 5: The bodies of a man and a woman were recovered this morning in between Moltinchan village and Utangpokpi, Sugnu.
The woman was identified as Nengneikim alias Shila, daughter of late Jamtil of New Molbem and the man was identified as Kaikholen Tuboi, son of Doujaneh of New Keithelmanbi.
 Sources said Kaikholen bore marks of blows from a blunt, heavy object on his head. On the other hand, unconfirmed reports said Nengneikim appeared to have been killed by the assailants after first assaulting her sexually.
Sugnu police have picked up the bodies for further investigations.
