Imphal, June 20:

Fifteen (15) different organisations of the state today staged a protest against the Narco-terrorists and the wasted central forces who remain as a mute spectator to the ongoing crisis in the state of Manipur. The protest staged at Keishampat Community Hall also demanded the IG AR (South) to leave the state.
Speaking on the occasion, L. Nganbi, the president of AMKIL said that the ongoing crisis in the state of Manipur is orchestrated by the Narco-terrorists and the government should wipe them out from the soil of the state. The AMKIL president also lambasted the large number of security forces who are deployed here in the state of Manipur in the name of protecting the people over their inaction to the ongoing crisis.
“These security forces are of no use to the state and the ongoing conflict, instead of guarding the Indo-Myanmar border they allow armed militants to enter in the state”, Nganbi said.
President of Nupi Samaj Th. Ramani while speaking on the occasion expressed dissatisfaction to the attitude of the MLAs of the state. She said that at these crucial hours these MLAs are not at all uniting.
“Why are these MLAs failing to unite for the cause of the people of the state”, Ramani told.
Expressing anger to the Assam Rifles who have been alleged of helping the armed Kuki militants under the Suspension of Operation with the government, Ramani lambasted them saying that if they are not protecting the state then it is better that they leave the state.
In today’s protest placards with slogans, “Leave Manipur IGAR (South)” among others were displayed.
