Imphal, May 2: The inaugural Furniture Festival which will continue for 15 days was inaugurated yesterday at Kairembikhok Sabal Lampak in Thoubal district. The festival was organised by the furniture festival committee under the aegis of Kairembikhok Students Union and Club.
The inaugural function was attended by nominee of Sangaiyumpham Zilla Parishad Zanab Khan, advisor of KSUC, Laishram Amarjit, and nominee pradhan of Wangbal Gram Panchayat Huidrom Doren as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
Speaking at the function, Zanab Khan said all of us should share the rich culture belonging to different communities for ushering peace and unity among them.
The festival is being organised by KSUC on the theme ‘Save Our Entrepreneurship and Identity’, said the convenor of the organizing committee.
