Members of local Meira Paibi groups staged a sit-in protest today at Sagolband Tera Sapam Leirak demanding immediate steps to trace a minor boy who has been missing since March 8.
The missing boy has been identified as Alex Leishangthem (13), son of L. Surchandra (50) and Jenita (45).
Alex is a Class IX student of Kingsway English School. Family members said he went missing on the evening of March 8.
A missing report has already been lodged at the Lamphel Police Station, sources said.
According to CCTV footage installed in the locality, the boy was last seen leaving the lane at around 7:30 am on March 8. Concerned residents and Meira Paibi members staged the protest urging authorities to take urgent steps to trace the missing student.
