Imphal, Aug 5:
Following the Manipur state government’s declaration of total pass for 2021 HSLC result, a notification issued by Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong dated 5th August, 2021 has sounded concern on fees. It states that admission fees for the new academic session (2021-2022) should be less than the normal rate while the monthly fees from April 2021 until the physical resumption of classes should not exceed fifty percent of the existing fee structure.
TKS further draws the attention of the state government for academic support to students who had failed to benefit from the online classes for various reasons. It demands that the state authorities make necessary arrangements to help such students.
The student body also voiced concerns regarding the increasing substance abuse menace among the youths and urged the law and order enforcing agencies to strictly monitor the situation.
The notification cites that this order is in endorsement with the appeal made by All Tribal Students’ Union Manipur (ATSUM) on 28th July 2021. ATSUM had earlier made similar appeal on admission fees and school fees. It had also urged the private schools to extend an additional special concession for students from BPL families
