DPS- A vigilante gang in the town

In the name of rescuing dogs- every nonsense DPS(Dog Protection Society) have committed and spoke of becomes justifiable for “them only”. Sympathisers flock-in, so do the sensibles decry. The sensible being, against those activities and demeanour of the DPS post on social media platforms. The word here SENSIBLE itself is a grey area from different perspectives but not an offbeat.
Homo sapiens have been indulging on certain earthly creatures from time immemorial. Based on size, emotional attachments and certain ethical school of thoughts- self-styled as well as their environ and brought-up with exposures to certain impressions- some animals become not consumable or consumable for people at large thus tagging them as livestock, pet and wild animals. What qualifies to this classifications has no clear cut boundary except in some places which too is again an outlier to many others.
Activities by DPS, if not all, picks up conflict and become quiet aggressive. Vegans are the best sensible campaigner in that sense. Still plant sympathy being- are you kidding, to serious pondering unless we live by consuming vacuum. What about million other micro-organisms present in plants and water. Is it because of size factor or red-bloody factor or loyalty? Theoretically, one can be holistic or hard core-lover of a creatures but to live, one has to digest some organisms- micro or macro, or let we become corporal hosting and feeding many others.
Now umpteen questions missile on: how many dog-owners litter the faeces every routine morning around the locality? Which many not be a serious issue for some, but for many. Analogies mentioned are also of how the puppies of various species are sold to others amounts to selling human offsprings “for self-style dog-lovers attribute them as one among their family as many pompously do”. What punishment and responsibilities for the dog or dog-owner, when they cause harm and dead to people or other creatures? Unfortunately there are cases of attacking, killing poultry, biting people, etc. Also there is overarching concern like- do just tagging ‘livestock’ on some creatures only, give whatever license to cruelty and meats?
Some selling various breeds at humongous price amounts to commercial motive questioning their trumpeting against animal cruelty and care. Is that the Loyalty of canine empower such vigilante groups in the name of love for dogs? For love gives freedom, subserviently loyal is contrary to the ethics of love.
Imagine those induce guilt and consequent trauma by DPS’ misconducts. No doubt, there is guilt in killing a creature to many. To me, accidentally stamping an ant induces a feeling of guilt too, doesn’t mean I should spare all ants at any condition.
Shan’t we accept there are grey areas on matters concerning life in group and individuals, choice, scarcity, ethics and acculturation? Civilization is not a sprint my dear DPS.
There are sustainable future-proteins talk-about by culturing varieties of insects. There is cultured-meat in Singapore labs. What if dog-meat be cultured on labs, what will be DPS’ stand? Just wondering. Nonetheless, many of DPS members posted frequently on social media flaunting as savouring cuisines of chicken, pork, fish, beef, etc. At times, juxtaposing with many of their actions, wish they were a Vegan. If not, nothing wrong in commenting holier than thou attitude embedded in them.
Its better late than never DPS shed its rogue image if not adrift, to be more sensible around in spite of its whatever efforts. Let’s leave what legal subtleties associated with this concern on its own course. Fingers crossed on impending solutions if need be, at the least substantial to the SENSIBLE ones!
Also please accept, people feel many of DPS’ actions and reactions are more cacophonic than barking dogs.
Mettle to carry on with ‘sensible skills’ is commendable and it’s rightful for DPS.
Those who are condemning DPS’ activities need not mishandle dog or consume dog-meat to be sensible.
