The dirty game

Is it the law of the land or the might of the neo – government functioning that people are suppressed and easily fooled? Or is it because the people have lost its courage to fight against the odd that allow the authority to play dirty tricks to fool them? Or is it because people are ignorant to what has been happening or playing by the authority. Or are the people misinterpreted the three monkeys of the Mahatama Gandhi, the father of the nation which one shut its mouth, one cover its eyes and another plug its ear. Something seems to be seriously wrong with the functioning of the present government and the response from the people of the present day society.
During mid 90’s a heated debate was heard among scholars and activists of the countries on the question of who will judge the judge if the judgment is against justice. Criticism to any judgment by the law court is punishable as it amount to contempt of court, and sometimes due to lack of proper evidence or say by dirty game played under the shadow of ‘might’, daylight offenders are often let free. Common people always think this kind of drama only happen in “Bollywood” movie. But when it happens in real life people seem to be stunned. At least in Bollywood movies some protagonists act to clean the system, but in real life it is hard to find any protagonist. And it is not difficult for the players to silence those who voice against it.
This writings appreciated the judgment of the Special Court of (ND & PS) for speedy trial of the case in connection with the seizure of huge quantity of drugs and illegal articles. The court acquitted the former ADC of Chandel, Lotkhosei Zou along with 7 others while two persons were convicted. The drug seized was worth crores of rupees and the two persons convicted are believed to be from middle class family. It may be hard for a commoner to believe that the two persons convicted today could spend crores of money to smuggle the drugs, but the court after hearing argument and after both claimed to have been the owner of the drugs have been convicted. The wisdom of the court cannot be questioned. However, sometimes it seems like a bollywood blockbuster movie.
