Dozens of mothers; Dozens of mothers! Marched Forward the torch bearer; charge for the lights! Fasten your belts; tighten your girth! Shut out your doors; certain your children and men! Leave none; clear them all! Crying and yelling Marching down the Khwai Street; convincing persuading Liberate our men; relieve from suppressing Weeping and lamenting; Stop the lallup; stop the lallup! Complaining and protesting; down the street Storming and fighting, marching against the British troops Challenging and out crying for the immediate action; Oh! The ruler; too soft and weary Tangling and disputing; doubting his part Is too late to shield those unarmed mothers; Those valiant, fearless souls wither charging. Dozens of mothers; Dozens of mothers! Marched Forward the torch bearer; charge for the lights! Fasten your belts; tighten your girth! Shut out your doors; certain your children and men! Awaken and come forward! Grasp your torch; grasp your torch! Let’s patrol these nights; down the streets Dark and unattended; poise and confident Charge for the action; charge for the change Hit the pole! Kang kang kang kang Kang kang kang kang Pale your hand; with no stone unturned Identify your men; save your men Halt your men; cease them from intoxicating Associate them brighter; it’s too good to have her relieving for violence. Dozens of mothers; Dozens of mothers! Marched Forward the torch bearer; charge for the lights! Fasten your belts; tighten your girth! Shut out your doors; certain your children and men! Live your breath; walk for comrade Consort your companions; secure your bolts! Loosen not your hair bun; fasten and wrap your shawl! Endure abiding your phanek, persisting last lingering round your waist; Ah! What a fettle, how cruel the inhuman? How brutal the demoniac law? How severe the barbaric actions? All in the sadistic; inflicting pain, blooded and merciless Oh! Mother, your strength has flown through veins Sharp and strong; ‘Indian Army, rape us! Kill us!’ ‘We are all mothers of our children, come, rape us, you bastards!’
