The month-long Seva Sankalp Abhiyan continued in Pherzawl district with a series of activities focusing on nurturing creativity among students and promoting environmental awareness.
As part of the “India of Dreams – Art Seva” component of the campaign, essay and painting competitions were organised at several schools, including Parbung Government High School, Pherzawl Government High School, Sibapurikhal Government High School, Joutung Upper Primary School, DR Thuoma Government High School, Patpuihmun and C. Zalen Primary School.
The competitions were organised by the Zonal Education Officer, Pherzawl, in collaboration with the District Administration. Students and teachers took active part in the events, which sought to encourage creativity among young learners while connecting them with the broader objectives of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.
In another initiative, the Pherzawl Forest Division, in collaboration with the District Administration and Parbung Mission Society School, conducted a sapling distribution programme and ceremonial plantation drive at PMS School, Parbung.
Students and teachers participated in the plantation drive, planting saplings in and around the school campus. The initiative was aimed at strengthening environmental awareness among students and encouraging greater community participation in the protection and conservation of the environment.
The activities formed part of the ongoing Seva Sankalp Abhiyan being carried out across Pherzawl district.
