In recognition of his outstanding contribution to the field of fine arts, renowned artist Yendrembam Ibochouba Singh was conferred the prestigious 7th Governor Art Award by the Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, at a solemn function held today at the Cabinet Hall of the Chief Minister’s Office, Minister’s Block, Mantripukhri, Imphal East.
The award ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh, Art and Culture Minister Kh. Loken Singh, the Chief Secretary, senior government officials, and distinguished guests from the art and cultural fraternity.
Before presenting the award, Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla took time to review a collection of paintings and artworks created by Yendrembam Ibochouba Singh, appreciating the artist’s dedication and significant contribution to the promotion and preservation of fine arts in the state.
The Governor Art Award is one of the highest recognitions bestowed by the state government on artists who have made exceptional contributions to the development of art and culture in Manipur. The honour acknowledges artistic excellence and sustained commitment to enriching the state’s cultural heritage.
Yendrembam Ibochouba Singh has earned recognition for his creative achievements and his role in promoting visual arts in Manipur. His works, known for their artistic depth and cultural relevance, have contributed significantly to the growth of the fine arts movement in the state.

The function concluded with felicitations to the awardee and appreciation for his invaluable contribution to the field of fine arts.
