In response to the ongoing crisis affecting several parts of Manipur, the National People’s Party (NPP) has extended humanitarian assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs) residing in relief camps.
A team comprising members of the National People’s Women’s Front (NPWF), Manipur, and the National People’s Youth Front (NPYF), Manipur, visited four relief camps located in Bishnupur district. The camps were set up at Kumbi Awang High School, Kumbi Leirak Achouba Laishang Leikai Lampak, Kumbi Terakha Upper Primary School, and Yaima Model Girls High School in Kumbi Bazar.
During the visit, relief materials were distributed to 91 children from 19 families staying in these camps. The items included blankets, notebooks, pencils, pens, and essential food supplies.
The distribution drive was carried out under the leadership of NPWF Manipur President, Nonibala Sapam, who personally supervised and participated in the relief efforts.
The initiative reflects NPP’s continued commitment to supporting displaced communities and addressing urgent humanitarian needs in the region.
