The Kerala Congress, Left parties, and their echo chambers have unleashed a vicious propaganda blitz against the BJP-led government in Manipur. Painting Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Yumnam Khemchand’s administration as communal and anti-minority—especially targeting Christians—they peddle baseless lies that would embarrass even the world’s most notorious propagandists. This smear campaign conveniently overlooks the ethnic Meitei-Kuki clashes’ harsh realities and the government’s tireless push for reconciliation and rehabilitation. Zero evidence supports their claims; only facts expose their malice.
Under CM Khemchand’s decisive leadership, Manipur has pivoted from crisis to compassion. Since November 1, 2025, we’ve replaced cumbersome in-kind rations with empowering Direct Benefit Transfers (DBT) for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), restoring dignity and choice amid over 60,000 affected lives. Backed by the Centre’s solidarity, a Rs. 523 crore Resettlement and Rehabilitation Package drives phased returns. Highlights include Rs. 1.70 lakh top-up per house for 7,000 PMAY-G beneficiaries—first instalments already disbursed to 6,300 families, with construction buzzing in relief camps turned transit sites. Over 2,200 partially damaged homes receive aid; fully destroyed ones get immediate, verified relief tied to safe resettlement.
This isn’t tokenism—it’s transformation. Holistic support spans livelihoods, health, education, and jobs: 430+ youths skilled via targeted programs; thousands aided in income restoration; ~10,000 health cards issued for seamless care; ~7,000 students backed educationally; special MGNREGS cards unlock employment. Oversight is rigorous—a State-level Committee under the Chief Secretary, paired with District Committees led by Deputy Commissioners, ensures transparency and accountability.
Future roadmap? Enhanced security for returns, one-year livelihood aid extension, community asset reconstruction (schools, churches, markets), supervised village visits, and 5,000 additional PMAY-G houses in 2026-27. By March 2026, we aim to resettle 10,000+ households—over 40,000 souls—proving commitment over rhetoric.DBT delivers now: Rs. 1 lakh per fully burnt house (Rs. 25,000 first tranche to 9,314 households; Rs. 25,000 more for 434; Rs. 20,000 top-up for all 9,748). Plus Rs. 2,420 per person for essentials to 58,835 IDPs. Totals? Rs. 18.62 crore to 9,314 families; another Rs. 14.24 crore disbursed—swift, honest action reflecting CM Khemchand’s resolve.
These initiatives embrace all faiths, prominently aiding Christian-majority Kuki areas like Churachandpur and Kangpokpi, where churches host relief distribution and PMAY homes rise. Recent visits by CM Khemchand to relief camps underscore inter-community harmony efforts, including peace dialogues brokered with church leaders. Manipur Police’s neutral deployments protect all, countering any “anti-minority” myth. Nationally, PM Modi’s repeated assurances and Rs. 500+ crore extra aid affirm this inclusive model.Contrast this with opposition inaction during crises—they stoke fires while we rebuild homes, heal divides. Manipur’s BJP government rejects division, prioritizing unity, security, and sustainable futures. Lies crumble before action; progress unites us all.
