A day after six hand grenades have been fished out from the bed of Kangla moat, 5 more hand grenades were found near Nilakuthi Bridge under Sekmai Police Station at around 6 am today morning. The five grenades were found wrapped in a polythene bag in the similar way the six hand grenades were found in the bed of Kangla moat by the ROP team of 45 Assam Rifles. A team of Sekmai Police came and recovered the grenades
Earlier, labourers engaging in the cleaning of Kangla moat had fished out six hand grenades wrapped in polythene bag at around 11 am yesterday. A team of Imphal West Police who recovered the grenades safely detonated them at Lamphel Dumping site.
