Memorial stone erected in honour of KL Angnal Anal at Chandel

A memorial stone in honour of Naga revolutionary and Anal Society pioneer reformer KL Angnal Anal (1902–1993) was unveiled today at Mate Park, Hnatham, Chandel.
The programme was organised by the Mate Chapa Organisation (MCO). The event began with an inaugural prayer offered by Rev. Lazaras Daryal, Pastor of Hnahringkhu Baptist Church. Following the prayer, MCO president Chapa KL Khumlo Mono formally unveiled the memorial stone.
During the programme, retired Army Chaplain Rev. KL Jenson released the biography of KL Angnal Anal, highlighting his life and contributions. Afterwards, retired Army Chaplain Rev. WS Thunghluwng delivered the memorial message to the gathering.
Speaking at the function, Souvenir Committee convenor WNG Kohring Victor said that the Mate Chapa Organisation, representing various clans within the Anal Society, has collectively taken up the responsibility of remembering KL Angnal Anal by erecting the memorial stone. He recalled that KL Angnal Anal worked for the upliftment of both the Naga and Anal communities and significantly contributed to various organisations during his lifetime.
He added that the programme was organised to honour and remember his dedicated service for the people, stressing that today’s event is held with deep respect for the Naga revolutionary leader and pioneer reformer of the Anal Society, KL Angnal Anal.
