1. Raag Shyama Kalyan: In North Indian Classical Music, the Raag Shyama Kalyan is one of the most beautiful and melodious Mishra Raag which belongs to the Kalyan Thaath. It is a Sadava-Sampurna Jati Raag having both Madhyam (Ma & ma’ Teevra Madhyam) and all the other remaining Sangeet Swaras are natural. The Vadi Swara of this Raag is Sa, Samvadi Swara is Ma, Anuvadi Swaras are Re,Ga, Pa, Dha & Ni, and Vivadi Swaras are re, ga, dha & ni respectively. It is an Uttaranga Prabesh Raag and the singing time of this Raag is the early evening and the Samprakirtik Raags of this Raag are Raag Kalyan,Raag Kamod, etc,.
2. Raag Yaman Kalyan: In North Indian Classical Music, the Raag Yaman Kalyan or Eman Kalyan is also one of the most beautiful and melodious classical Raag which belongs to the Kalyan Thaath. It is a Sampurna-Sampurna Jati Raag having both Madhyam (Ma & ma’ Teevra Madhyam) and all the other remaining Sangeet Swaras are natural. The Vadi Swara of this Raag is Ga, Samvadi Swara is Ni, Anuvadi Swaras are Sa, Re, Ma, ma’ , Pa & Dha, and Vivadi Swaras are re, ga, dha & ni respectively. It is also a Poorvanga Prabesh Raag and the singing time of this Raag is the early evening and one of the Samprakirtik Raag of this Raag are Raag Yaman or Kalyan.
3. Raag Maru Bihag: In North Indian Classical Music, the Raag Maru Bihag isalso one of the most beautiful and melodious classical Raag which belongs to the Kalyan Thaath. It is also a Sampurna-Sampurna Jati Raag having both Madhyam (Ma & ma’ Teevra Madhyam) and all the other remaining Sangeet Swaras are natural. The Vadi Swara of this Raag is Pa, Samvadi Swara is Sa, Anuvadi Swaras are Re, Ga, Ma, ma’, Dha & Ni, and Vivadi Swaras are re, ga, dha & ni respectively. It is an Uttaranga Prabesh Raag and the singing time of this Raag is the second segment of the evening and the Samprakirtik Raags of this Raag are Raag Kalyan, Raag Marga Bihag, Raag Bihag, etc,.
4. Raag Sorath: In North Indian Classical Music, the Raag Sorath is one of the most beautiful and melodious devotional base classical Raag which belongs to the Khamaj Thaath. It is also an Audava-Sampurna Jati Raag having both Nishad (Ni Sudha & ni Komol) and all the other remaining Sangeet Swaras are natural. The Vadi Swara of this Raag is Re, Samvadi Swara is Dha, Anuvadi Swaras are Sa, Ga, Ma, Pa, ni & Ni, and Vivadi Swaras are re, ga, ma’ & dha respectively. It is an Uttaranga Prabesh Raag and the singing time of this Raag is the morning segment and one of the Samprakirtik Raag of this Raag is the Raag Desh.
5. Raag Durga Khamaj: In North Indian Classical Music, the Raag Durga Khamaj is also one of the most beautiful and melodious classical Pantatonic mode Raag which belongs to the Khamaj Thaath. It is also an Audava-AudavaJati Raag having both Nishad (Ni Sudha & ni Komol) and all the other remaining Sangeet Swaras are natural. The Vadi Swara of this Raag is Ga, Samvadi Swarais Ni, Anuvadi Swaras are Sa, Ma & Dha, and Vivadi Swaras are re, Re, ga, ma’, Pa & dha respectively. It is also a Poorvanga Prabesh Raag and the singing time of this Raag is also the second segment of the evening and some of the Samprakirtik Raags of this Raagare Raag Koushik Dvani, Raag Rageshri, etc,.
6. Raag Narayani: In North Indian Classical Music, the Raag Narayani is also one of the most beautiful and melodious classical Raag which belongs to the Khamaj Thaath. It is an Audava-Sadava Jati Raag having only ni (Komol Nishad) and all the other remaining Sangeet Swaras are natural. The Vadi Swara of this Raag is Re, Samvadi Swara is Pa, Anuvadi Swaras are Sa, Ma, Dha & ni, and Vivadi Swaras are re, ga, Ga, ma’, dha & Ni respectively. It is also a Poorvanga Prabesh Raag and the singing time of this Raag is also the second segment of the evening and some of the Samprakirtik Raagsof this Raag are Raag Durga Khamaj, Raag Desh, Raag Sir Malhar, etc,.
7. Raag Kalavati: In North Indian Classical Music, the Raag Kalavati is also one of the most beautiful and melodious classical Raag which belongs to the Khamaj Thaath. It is also an Audava-Audava Jati Raag having ni (Nishad Komol) and all the other remaining Sangeet Swaras are natural. The Vadi Swara of this Raag is Pa, Samvadi Swara is Sa, Anuvadi Swaras are Ga, Pa & ni, and Vivadi Swaras are re, Re, ga, Ma, ma’, dha & Ni respectively. It is an Uttaranga Prabesh Raag and the singing time of this Raag is the midnight and one of the Samprakirtik Raag of this Raag is the Raag Durga.
8. Raag Jhinjhoti: In North Indian Classical Music, the Raag Jhinjhoti is also one of the most beautiful and melodious classical Raag which belongs to the Khamaj Thaath. It is solidly a sampurna-Sampurna Jati Raag having both Nishad (Ni Sudha & ni Komol) and all the other remaining Sangeet Swaras are natural. The Vadi Swara of this Raag is Ga, Samvadi Swara is Ni, Anuvadi Swaras are Sa, Re, Ma, Pa & Dha, and Vivadi Swaras are re, ga, ma’, dha & Ni respectively. It is also a Poorvanga Prabesh Raag and the singing time of this Raag is also the second segment of the evening and some of the Samprakirtik Raags of this Raag are Raag Khamaj, Raag Desh, etc,.
9. Raag Gara: In North Indian Classical Music, the Raag Gara is also one of the most beautiful and melodious classical Raag which belongs to the Khamaj Thaath or sometimes on Kafi Thaath. It is a Sadava-Sampurna Jati Raag having ma’ (Teevra Madhyam) and all the other remaining Sangeet Swaras are natural. The Vadi Swara of this Raag is Ga, Samvadi Swara is Ni, Anuvadi Swaras are Sa,ma’, Pa & Dha, and Vivadi Swaras are re, ga, Ma, dha & ni respectively. It is also a Poorvanga Prabesh Raag and the singing time of this Raag is also the second segment of the evening and some of the Samprakirtik Raags of this Raag are Raag Jaijaiwanti, Raag Dwijawanti, etc,.
10. Raag Gavati or Bheem: In North Indian Classical Music, the Raag Gavati or Bheem is also one of the most beautiful and melodious classical Raag which belongs to the Khamaj Thaath or sometimes on Kafi Thaath. It is also an Audava-Sampurna Jati Raag having ma’ (Teevra Madhyam), ni (Nishad Komol) and all the other remaining Sangeet Swaras are natural. The Vadi Swara of this Raag is Sa, Samvadi Swara is Pa, Anuvadi Swaras are Ga, ma’, Dha & ni, and Vivadi Swaras are re, ga, Ma, dha & Ni respectively. It is an Uttaranga Prabesh Raag and the singing time of this Raag is also the third segment of the day.
