Imphal, Nov. 8: Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) and opposition political parties in the state today observed Black in protest against the demonetization of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes.
The MPCC earlier staged a sit in protest by displaying banners and playcards with slogans against the demonetization. Opposition Political parties like the CPI, CPI(M) also staged protest against the demonetization.
Later a protest rally was also staged from Congress Bhavan till Sumang Leela Shanglen where a meeting was held.
Speakers on the on the occasion highlights the impact of demonetization on common people of the country.
